Event Description Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service falls on January 18th, 2021 and will be the 26th anniversary of the day of service that celebrates Dr. King’s Legacy. Dr. King day has been known as a direct service day on, not a day off and is a call to action for Americans to commit themselves to giving back to their communities.
In 2020, our nation, saw even more of the injustice that Dr. King was struggling with and spoke out against. This year, the Lindy Center for Civic Engagement will be honoring Dr. King’s Legacy with a Week of Service and Reflection which will be observed from Monday, January 18th through Friday, January 22nd. We will be offering a mix of virtual and in-person opportunities to the larger Drexel community and we hope that our fellow Drexel Dragons will join us in celebration and reflection of Dr. King’s legacy and scholarship. In such an unprecedented time, we hope to bring the Drexel community together to forge a new way forward; one that allows us to look to our past as inspiration and hope.
Join the Lindy Center for Civic Engagement by partaking in our week of Service and Reflection which will be taking place from Jan. 18th - 22nd.
