Bring your own coffee and connect with Vishakha Hariawala, BS '18.
Hariawala is a passionate public health professional and is a Project Implementation Specialist at Hill Physicians Medical Group (HGMP) in the San Francisco Bay Area.
HPMG is the largest network of independent physicians in Northern California and contracts with health insurance providers to deliver timely, cost-effective, quality care to the health plans’ members through a virtually integrated health care delivery system.
In her role, Hariawala designs and implements strategic initiatives aimed at reducing health care costs and improving clinical outcomes for the organization’s PPO line of business which manages the care for more than 1,000,000 patients with greater than $500 million in annual medical and pharmacy expenses. She works with clinicians and epidemiologists to assess opportunities to improve systemic efficiencies and population health based on PPO claims and then develops and rolls out relevant interventions with provider networks. This year, Hariawala will be applying for MBA programs with a focus in healthcare to further pursue her interest in public health but also develop critical business skills and grow as a leader in the healthcare industry.
