Virtual Session

Elena's Light is excited to announce our new speaker series, "Lighting the Future: Refugee Conversations." Each online event will highlight a fascinating person who has insights into the refugee experience in all its richness and complexity. In our inaugural event on Thursday, October 1st, at 7pm EST, we'll feature the Cuban-American artist Edel Rodriguez, who has contributed illustrations to The New York Times, TIME magazine, The New Yorker, and many other publications and book publishers. Rodriguez's artwork is in the collections of a variety of institutions, including the Smithsonian Institute in Washington D.C., as well as in numerous private collections. He'll be interviewed by Emily Gordon, cultural journalist and former editor of Print magazine. Copy and paste the link below to register for the event and buy a ticket: https://tinyurl.com/y3e5vepc Tickets are $10 ($5 for students and seniors). All proceeds will directly benefit the programs of Elena's Light. You can also visit https://www.elenaslight.org/lightingthefuture to learn more!
