This is a three-hour event dedicated to understanding the requirements and materials needed for a successful application to our Summer Undergraduate Research Fellows (SURF-REU) program and similar opportunities during the academic year. The first hour will feature a panel of former SURF interns who are currently graduate students at Scripps Research. They will provide tips on how to craft your SURF application and advice on how to have a successful internship. Two graduate students will present their research during the second hour of this event. Graduate Office representatives will be available during the third hour to respond to questions about the application submission and the program expectations and requirements.
