Event Description
Join Drexel colleagues for the University Libraries’ 2022/2023 ScholarSip event series!
This year, ScholarSip will explore the theme of Climate Change & Sustainability.
Each term, a distinguished Drexel professor will offer “food for thought” on their research in this important area, sharing how their work aims to ultimately help make the region—and the world—more climate resilient. Hear from trusted experts working to combat climate change through interdisciplinary research in areas including human nature and environmental change, materials engineering, and medicine.
This quarter, we are pleased to welcome our guest speaker Caroline Schauer, PhD, Margaret C. Burns Chair in Engineering, Vice Provost for Faculty Advancement & Professor of Materials Science & Engineering, College of Engineering.
Professor Schauer will lead a discussion on her research and expertise on climate change and sustainability, including her work as the head of Drexel's Natural Materials and Polymer Processing Group on making “plastic” from food waste and the implications for our global society.
