Event Description
Drexel University is participating in Campus Race to Zero Waste (formerly RecycleMania), a friendly, nationwide competition and benchmarking tool among colleges and universities to promote waste reduction activities to their campus communities. Throughout the months of February and March, we’re tracking the amount of paper, cardboard, aluminum, glass, plastic, cell phones and computer equipment* recycled on our campuses so we can be benchmarked against the other participating institutions.
Drexel boasts a robust, single-stream recycling program that makes it easy and convenient to recycle most plastic, glass, aluminum, paper and cardboard waste in University-operated properties. From March 21-23, Drexel Real Estate and Facilities is hosting collection events on all three campuses that will allow students and employees to recycle more cumbersome items, such as electronics, computer equipment and batteries of all kinds.
