Event Description
The Graduate College, in partnership with the Graduate Student Association and Office of Research & Innovation, will host the seventh annual Drexel Emerging Graduate Scholars (DEGS) Conference, a FREE, homegrown University-wide conference highlighting Drexel's graduate student research, Thursday, April 20, 2023.
All Drexel graduate and professional students are encouraged to submit abstracts for posters, orals, or to compete in Drexel’s official Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) competition by Sunday, March 12. Please review the submission and presentations guidelines on the conference website PRIOR to submitting your abstract.
Before you submit, participate in a FREE pre-conference workshop – How to Write an Effective Abstract with Dan Driscoll, MA, Coordinator of Writing Curriculum Initiatives for the University Writing Program and Teaching Professor of English in the College of Arts and Sciences.

Virtual via Zoom Description: This workshop will provide a model for abstract writing that can be adapted to meet the needs of various disciplines and projects. Students will be able to begin drafting an abstract—or work on an existing draft—during the session.
