Event Description
Professor Dorfman’s research and teaching focuses on disability law, health law, torts, property, insurance law, employment discrimination law, law and psychology, and family law. His interdisciplinary research combines doctrinal analysis with a variety of empirical methods to explore the legal treatment of disempowered communities, how stigma informs legal decision-making, and public suspicion against abuse of health care law and disability rights. Professor Dorfman’s work has won multiple writing awards, was cited by federal courts and the Israeli Supreme Court, and was featured in the New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, and USA Today. In 2021, he was invited to testify before Congress on the relationship between vaccine requirements and anti-discrimination law.
