Event Description

Devan V. Mehrotra, PhD, Biostatistics and Research Decision Sciences, Merck & Co., Inc., will present "Randomized Clinical Trials – Replacing Traditional Analyses with Better Alternatives."

Increased efficiency in the clinical drug development process benefits multiple stakeholders in the healthcare ecosystem. Biostatisticians can contribute on that front by developing and implementing analyses of randomized clinical trials that are substantially more powerful than their traditional counterparts. I will illustrate this using examples from all phases of drug development.

Bio: Devan Mehrotra is Vice President of Biostatistics at Merck. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Biostatistics at the University of Pennsylvania. Over the past 30 years, he has contributed to the research, development and regulatory approval of medical drugs and vaccines across many therapeutic areas.
