Event Description
The Interior Design Senior Showcase is a gala style event showcasing students' portfolio of work throughout their four years in the Interior Design Program. The Showcase is a testament to the students' commitment to solving world issues through innovative design solutions, and bettering communities and their world in an inclusive and equitable manner. Students select the work to be displayed, carefully chosen from studio projects, visualization technique courses, custom designed and fabricated furniture as well as fine art and sculpture. Students' project work evidence deep and meaningful research, thought provoking development of design, spectacular imagery, and the creative solving of societal issues. Senior Projects, a yearlong study of a project of the student's choice, are particularly exciting.
As a student led event, DIG (Drexel Interiors Group) was a crucial base in the planning, organizing, and fund-raising efforts to produce a comprehensive and lively event. The Showcase is being held in the URBN Center lobby on June 15, 2023, and opens at 6:00PM. Food and alcohol (21 and over) will be served, industry related items will be raffled off, Senior Awards will be announced, and the 2023-2024 DIG officers will be introduced.
All are welcome to join this tight knit group in celebrating the vastness of their work to family members, friends, Westphal faculty, alumni, industry professionals, and the entire community. The Senior Showcase allows the seniors one last celebration before venturing into new and exciting paths, changing the world through design!
