Event Description
Romeo and Juliet tells the story of two young lovers from feuding families, the Montagues and the Capulets, who fall in love and marry in secret. Their love is thwarted by the ongoing feud between their families, leading to a series of tragic events that ultimately result in the couple's untimely deaths. The play explores themes of love, fate, violence, and the consequences of hate and intolerance.
The reading will take place each Wednesday, from 4-5 p.m. live on Zoom. Our aim is to have attendees engage with this great play in whatever capacity they choose. You can come to read or just to listen. There will be no pressure, no judgment, no grades — just the chance to commune together over a great work of literature and provide some deep thought and a little laughter in our present moment.
