Event Description

Join us on Wednesday, July 22 for a discussion of the paper “Hospitalization and Mortality among Black Patients and White Patients with COVID-19” by Eboni G. Price‑Haywood and colleagues from the Ochsner Health Center for Outcomes and Health Services Research and the University of Queensland Ochsner Clinical School.

Dr. Zsofi Szep (Medicine/Infectious Disease and HIV Medicine) will discuss the paper, which was published in the New England Journal of Medicine on May 27, 2020.

The paper describes a retrospective cohort study of patients within an integrated-delivery health system in Louisiana in order to explore racial differences in outcomes of COVID-19.

We invite our colleagues and students from throughout Drexel University to take part in this discussion.
