Event Description Self-compassion is not self-pity.
Self-compassion is the act of turning toward, acknowledging and allowing our emotions, while extending to ourselves the same care, concern and emotional support that we so often extend to others.
In this Drexel Dialogue you’ll learn the science of self-compassion, as well as explore a guided practice that enables you to begin to recognize, relate with, and to heal from the individual and collective upheavals we’ve experienced in the last year.
This workshop is appropriate for those interested in learning about and practicing mindfulness & self-compassion. You do not need to have any prior mindfulness or meditation experience to attend this event.
Brandon R. Everett is a Mindfulness & Meditation Teacher as well as a Hospice Registered Nurse. Since completing his 2-year, 900-hr Meditation Teacher Training in 2017 he has taught classes, workshops, and retreats throughout the tristate area. He focuses on providing teachings that are backed by science, and that can be easily integrated into daily & working life.
