Management and Acquisition
August 21, 2021 at 4pm-5pm ET
Via Live Webcast
As a part of our ongoing series and building
upon ETHICALLY SPEAKING: INFUSING RESPONSIBLE CONDUCT OF RESEARCH ACROSS THE
COLLEGE from May 2021, this session will support faculty, students and staff
who must demonstrate continuing education in the ethical conduct of research
with human subjects. According to the NIH: The responsible conduct of research
(RCR) is essential to good science. RCR promotes the aims of scientific
inquiry, fosters a research environment that enables scientists to work together
toward common goals and promotes public confidence in scientific knowledge and
progress for the public good. However, there are several serious detrimental
effects of research not conducted ethically and responsibly. This RCR training
is provided to our student, postdoctoral research fellow, research faculty and
staff to ensure we are in continual conversation to develop and maintain a
culture of scientific integrity.
