Let’s talk science! Stop by the Academy of Natural Sciences Pop-up Lab and learn fun ways to explore science and learn something new about our world.

Join us at Parks on Tap at Fairmount Water Works on August 29 and at the Philly Fall Nature Fest on September 25 to learn about clean water, hold specimens in your hands, view microscopic organisms and see how beautiful water can be.

View water diatoms under high magnification. These visually stunning and life-sustaining diatoms may be the most important organisms you've never heard of. Plus, learn about the heavy lifting freshwater mussels do when it comes to water quality.
