Event Description Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service falls on January 17th, 2022, and will be the 27th anniversary of the day of service that celebrates Dr. King’s Legacy. This day has been a call to action for Americans to commit themselves to giving back to their communities.
This year, Drexel University will be honoring Dr. King’s Legacy with a week of service activities and programming from campus partners which will be observed from Monday January 10th, 2022 to Monday, January 17th, 2022. The events will be available in a list format which is hosted on the Lindy Center’s Civic Engagement database, Drexel Galaxy Digital, which is available to all students, faculty and staff of Drexel.
On Dr. King Day, the Lindy Center team will encourage the campus community to go into the city and choose volunteer opportunities hosted by external community organizations that can be found and accessed on the Global Citizen volunteer portal.
