Event Description Thomas Butler, Director of Advancement and Operations for the Philadelphia College Prep Roundtable, will speak to School of Education students, faculty, staff, and other guests on Tuesday, November 30th at 11:00 am ET.
The Philadelphia College Prep Roundtable (PCPR) seeks to strengthen a community of college access and success practitioners who believe in the potential of all individuals and help students navigate the path to and through higher education.
Over the years, the focus of PCPR has expanded beyond information sharing to include a broader range of activities for supporting practitioners; however, the focus on the success of students in achieving a college education has remained a constant objective of the work. Today, PCPR’s focus is primarily on three strands of work:
- Developing and strengthening a community of practitioners in the Philadelphia region through networking and professional development opportunities.
- Contributing our expertise to school district and city level conversations to enhance college access and success strategies and practices.
- Advocating for stronger and more comprehensive college access and success guidance for students in the Philadelphia region.
