Event Description The School of Biomedical Engineering, Science and Health Systems is pleased to announce its 5th Annual Immune Modulation & Engineering Symposium (IMES).
IMES 2023 features trailblazing research engineers and scientists working to advance the field of immune engineering from:
- Industry
- Academia
- Biomedical Engineering
- Basic and Translational Immunology
The speakers and attendees represent leaders in this field, with demonstrated expertise in collaborating across disciplines to generate innovative solutions to treat disease and injury by modulating the immune system. IMES 2023 will kick off at 5 PM on Wednesday, November 29, with a keynote lecture and opening reception, held jointly with the Global Innovation Partnerships Forum 2023. The keynote lecture will be delivered by Sue Van, President and CEO of the Wallace H. Coulter Foundation, who will speak on the power of global collaboration in biomedical engineering innovation, with emphasis on the value of 'diversity of world cultures,' a motto upheld by the Coulter Foundation and the Global Innovation Partnerships Program of Drexel University.
The joint event is a highlight of the year-long celebration of the 65th Anniversary of the pioneering Biomedical Engineering and Science Institute, transformed into the free-standing School of Biomedical Engineering, Science and Health Systems 25 years ago.
