Event Description
Discourse has always been central to Twitter's function and it has always been fraught. On one hand, it can be quite wholesome: communities are built, information is shared in real-time, and cat photos are provided upon request. On the other, so is hate speech, doxxing, and bullying campaigns. When Elon Musk took over the site earlier this year, he promised to make it a haven for free speech and in the past few months has turned the site from a place for discourse into the discourse itself. We'll be talking about all the Twitter drama, including the site's future.
