Event Description Citizens and urban planners unite in "Urban Strategy in the Present Tense," a year-long speaker series dedicated to the local roots of civic innovation. From reinventing playgrounds, civic design, pedestrian mobility, fair housing, and green urban planning, this series brings together local public, private, and community leaders to discuss strategies for building a stronger, more just, and resilient city.
Join us for a discussion featuring two community-based experts in the field of youth engagement!
Cass Green is a seasoned community activist and organizer with extensive experience in non-profit administration, project management, and arts education, including her current role at the Philadelphia DA's Office.
Nia Eubanks-Dixon, the founder of Creative Praxis, has over two decades of experience empowering youth and communities through art-infused, healing-informed, and anti-racist approaches.
Together, they will explore strategies for change, youth empowerment, and a shared call to action.
The series is produced by the Lindy Institute for Urban Innovation at Drexel University in partnership with the Urban Strategy Masters Program in Drexel's Westphal College of Media, Arts & Design. Andrew Zitcer hosts the webinar and Thomas Devaney produces the series with production director Hazel Dequito.
