About the Series: The Office of Graduate Studies presents the annual Financial Literacy Series for graduate and professional students and postdoctoral fellows. The series offers information and advice on personal financial management from a variety of industry experts. It is meant to promote financial wellness for students and postdocs, especially those preparing to graduate and move on to careers in academia or industry.

Workshop Description: Our most anticipated workshop! Taxes - You can't avoid them so you might as well understand them. This workshop is intended to give you a basic understanding of how federal taxes are calculated as well as how every financial decision you make from choosing employee benefits, home purchases to marriage and investing impacts your taxes.

About the Speaker: Michael Clancy is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) who is the Director of Financial Planning for the College of Medicine.
