Event Description
Our community is currently mourning the loss of 10 innocent people in the racist shooting attack in Buffalo, NY. The Center for Black Culture (CBC) wants to take a creative route to assist with our mental health. Art therapy has been proven to assist with processing traumatic experiences. To provide an outlet when words alone often fail us. The CBC and our BIPOC Specialist welcomes members of the Drexel community to express their thoughts and emotions through a practice that also promotes self-care and artistic activism.
The CBC will be holding a safe space to engage in a creative outlet that allows us to release our anger, frustration, despair, and most importantly our hope for a better future. Once finished, this visual medium will be displayed in the CBC to draw attention to the injustices that the Black community faces, combats hate, and amplifies our resiliency.
