Event Description
It’s time to normalize caregiving among men.
Taking leave can be difficult, both socially and economically. In most of the United States, the decision to offer paid family leave is left entirely to employers – and as a result, most Americans don’t have access to paid parental leave. That’s especially true for those at lower income levels, for whom taking unpaid leave is even more difficult. Yet even among men who do have access to paid family leave, many don’t use the full amount they’re entitled to – partially because of stigma, and partially because even paid leave often means taking a financial hit.
Join fellow VisionForward coalition members for an informal Zoom discussion about men as caregivers, while also learning about the launch of the He Cares Pledge and how you can get your local network involved.
Note: This discussion is for VisionForward coalition members only (Advocates, Allied Organizations and Proud Partners). A zoom link will be sent to registrants in advance of the discussion.
