Frankfort Boat Launch Academy of Natural Science and United By Blue Clean-up

Event Description
Please join United By Blue for a fun-filled Community Cleanup Event by volunteering to clean up your local waterway. The focus of the day will be cleaning up litter and debris from the shoreline of Philadelphia's own Delaware River. This could include the removal of items as large as tires and abandoned household furniture to as small as pesky microplastics and ever-abundant snack packaging; all cleaned up with the overarching goal of stopping it from leaching into or physically entering the watershed, which in this case, includes the Delaware River!

This waterway cleanup event is in partnership with the Philadelphia Water Department, Riverfront North, and The Academy of Natural Sciences in their own efforts to support the growing need for environmental preservation and restoration through community engagement.

All cleanup participants will receive a thoughtfully crafted gift to carry their sustainability efforts into daily life, as well as complimentary refreshments for their volunteerism.
