Event Description

Dive below the surface of Hayao Miyazaki’s aquatic adventure at this free screening! When magical goldfish Ponyo’s transformation into a human girl causes unexpected consequences, she and five-year-old Sôsuke must try to restore the balance of nature.

Explore the science, mythology, and wonder of water at our post-film talkback, featuring Aqua; Jason P. Downs, Research Associate, The Academy of Natural Sciences; and Li Sumpter, Professor, Moore College of Art & Design, and moderated by Kristal Sotomayor!
