June 25 – December 26, 2026 Lits Building (Historic Department Store), 8th & Market Streets, Philadelphia Exhibit viewing hours: Monday through Saturday, 10am - 6pm (closed Sundays)
This modern pop-up display, free and open to the public, was developed by Drexel and the Atwater Kent Collection with ISA and Center City District Foundation.
The exhibition will give visitors a unique experience of the first world’s fair held in the US—the 1876 Centennial Exposition—through a series of glowing pavilions representing Centennial structures, souvenir artifacts, an aerial video comparing the city and Fairmount Park fairgrounds then and now, and more.
This exhibit is free and open to the public.
