Event Description
Portrait Paintings by artist Leng Jun are considered the most
realistic in the world. Now, the world-renowned Chinese Master of
Hyperrealistic Portraits will hold a live demonstration and presentation of
portrait sketching at the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University in
Philadelphia, where he will display his unique painting skills and style to the
world. This event is hosted by the Rodin International Artists Foundation.
During this event, the famous Chinese artist will give a live
painting demonstration of hyper-realistic painting techniques. The event will
take place in Philadelphia, a famous historical and cultural city in the United
States. Mr. Leng will paint for 9 hours from 9am until 6pm. Mr. Leng will complete
an entire sketch portrait during the event, demonstrating his superb painting
skills to the audience. The whole painting process will be open to the public
free of charge. Art lovers are welcome to attend, especially art students and
those interested in painting. This is a golden opportunity to learn from a
master at close range.
Leng Jun is a Chinese contemporary artist best known for creating
paintings and drawings so detailed that they are indistinguishable from
photographs. Born in 1963 in Sichuan, the artist was influenced by the period
of economic shift known as the "opening of China" that occurred while
he was coming of age. Some of his best- known works include detailed oil
paintings of women exhibiting incredible reality - down to the last wisp of
hair. Leng Jun has also achieved tremendous commercial success, with one of his
paintings selling for 270 million RMB, the highest auction price paid for a
painting in China.
