An Overview of Maternal and Child Health in Philadelphia

Event Description

Speaker: Stacey Kallem, MD, MSHP (she/her/hers), Director, Division of Maternal, Child, and Family Health Philadelphia Department of Public Health

Kallem will provide a brief overview of key Philadelphia maternal & child health data and review the functions of local public health organizations including the Philadelphia Department of Public Health and its Division of Maternal, Child, and Family Health (MCFH). Using infant mortality as an example, she will then provide an overview of MCFH programs highlighting the different public health approaches being used to reduce infant mortality rates in Philadelphia.
