Imagine walking through a collection of one-of-a-kind finds that spans five centuries of research, creative expression and discovery.

The history in the air is palpable, and as you twist and turn through shelves of rare books, journals, artworks, manuscripts, photographs and artifacts you can’t believe your eyes. You’ve found yourself inside the Academy Library & Archives, and you wonder what it would be like to work here and stroll these hallowed halls every day.

At our December Shaker of Science, you can find out—without having to leave your home! Enjoy a beverage and join a casual virtual conversation with our thoughtful and hilarious librarians and our intriguing archivist.

They’ll share their favorite items and provide a behind-the-scenes look at what it’s like to be among the few lucky individuals to work within the walls of the Academy Library & Archives.
