The Nonprofit Network presents a series of workshops designed for entry-level and intermediate nonprofit professionals. Participants learn more about creating, and growing sustainable nonprofits intended to address West Philadelphia community needs and challenges. These workshops are free of charge and open to the public and West Philadelphia residents are strongly encouraged to participate. The first workshop will be on “Legal Considerations for Nonprofits for Beginners” on
March 31 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Every nonprofit, regardless of size or scope, needs to complete specific documents and legal obligations. In this workshop, the facilitator will go over all required documentation such as Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws, tax filing status, and conflict of interest. In addition, board members and paid employees should complete the conflict of interest forms. The facilitator will also assist attendees in completing these related documents.
