The concept is open to interpretation from artistic expression to problem-solving in the context of economic, social and sustainable development. Therefore, the United Nations designated 21 April as World Creativity and Innovation Day to raise the awareness of the role of creativity and innovation in all aspects of human development. On #WCID, the world is invited to embrace the idea that innovation is essential for harnessing the economic potential of nations."

It is in this spirit that Drexel University, Jefferson University and the University of the Arts invite you to a collaborative panel event and celebration of interdisciplinary creativity and innovation in the city of Philadelphia. Hear from experts about their creative practices in the fields of art, design, psychology, science, wellness and more. Panelists will make short presentations followed by questions from the audience.

Architects imagine future environmental designs that are original, effective, and compelling with proposals for structures that do not yet exist. Creativity is the backbone of architecture. My presentation situates architecture within the field of Creativity Studies to promote interdisciplinary education.

Developed to identify major environmental stressors that contribute to physician burnout within Emergency Departments, this study demonstrates the ability of virtual reality as an assessment and testing tool to help reimagine design possibilities. We will present how VR can elicit new perspectives and observations in combination with traditional qualitative methods.
