Event Description

The UK is home to the world’s oldest national broadcaster, as well as the largest American television bureaus outside the United States. Experience the highlights of Drexel’s Global Television Industry London course as Karen Curry from Westphal’s Paul F. Harron Graduate Program in Television and Media Management leads a fascinating discussion on the wonder and uniqueness of British broadcasting. 

This discussion will explore the extraordinary boom in international film and tv production in the UK, how royal correspondents cover the ongoing Meghan and Harry drama, how Sky television,now owned by Comcast, dominated awards season with its remarkable HBO co-production "Chernobyl" and what it’s like to shoot a gritty police procedural in a derelict university building in East London.
