Pteropods Ptalk: Creating a Historical Record of Ocean Acidification in the California Current

Bryce is a second year BEES graduate student in the Invertebrate Paleontology Department. Her research interests are centered around marine invertebrates, such as mollusks and foraminifera, and their responses to anthropogenic stressors. Bryce holds a B.A. in Earth and Environmental Sciences from Vanderbilt University, where she researched the effects of heavy metal pollution on foraminiferal test deformation. Bryce has also interned at AGI and AGU in Washington, D.C. and is passionate about increasing the accessibility of environmental science to policy decision makers and the public. Currently, Bryce is investigating the direct and indirect impacts of ocean acidification on modern pteropods, a critical organism in marine communities.
