Event Description

Join us for a discussion of COVID-19 infectiousness in the context of vaccination.

We will discuss two papers:

  • “Initial real-world evidence for lower viral load of individuals who have been vaccinated by BNT162b2” by Ella Petter et al.
  • “Decreased SARS-CoV-2 viral load following vaccination” by Matan Levine-Tiefenbrun et al.

Dr. Michael LeVasseur (Epi/Bio) will discuss the papers, which were uploaded to the MedRxiv preprint server on February 7-8, 2021.

The papers describes the evidence for decreased COVID-19 viral load among those who are vaccinated through a national vaccination program in Israel.

Drexel staff, faculty, and students are welcome to take part in this discussion.
