Start Date: 3/5/2021Start Time: 11:00 AM
End Date: 3/5/2021End Time: 12:00 PM

Event Description

Join the Migration, Ethnicity, Race and Health Group (MERHG) at Drexel University for a discussion on mixed-status families.

Using a longitudinal multiple case study, Dr. Carmen Valdez will present an intimate look at the lives of mixed-status families in Arizona.

She will describe how mixed-status immigrant families thrive, despite the cumulative stress they experience in sociopolitical, cultural, and community spaces, and how these structural spaces undermine thriving.
