Event Description
Wege Prize is an annual circular design competition that ignites game-changing solutions for the future by inspiring college/university students around the world to collaborate across institutional, disciplinary, and cultural boundaries to redesign the way systems and economies work. Students participate in interdisciplinary teams of 5 to develop a circular design solution to a wicked problem of their choosing and contend for $65,000 (USD) in total cash prizes. Through each phase of the program, participants receive feedback on their projects from experienced professionals in the fields of material science, design, business and sustainability, the circular economy, and more, to help push their ideas forward into real-world products and businesses. Applications open in August.
This session will review the program structure and application requirements. Attendees will also learn more about how to assemble a team and develop ideas for their proposals. This session is offered in a hybrid format; those unable to attend but interested in follow-up information should register for the Zoom session.
