Physics Colloquium: Putting the Quark in Quark Expeditions!

Event Description
Join us April 20th for our Weekly Physics Colloquium! Guest Speaker, Dr. Daniel Kaplan, Professor Emeritus, will be joining us from the Illinois Institute of Technology Center for Accelerator and Particle Physics.
 
On a fabulous recent trip on the Quark Expeditions Ocean Diamond, I took lots of photos and will share some of them. But Quark Expeditions put me in mind of the discovery of quarks, with one of which I was personally involved. I will recount some of the events, ironies, and surprises of that story.
