Start Date: 4/26/2023Start Time: 12:00 PM
End Date: 4/26/2023End Time: 1:50 PM

Event Description
The Leo G. Reeder Award is the highest honor given by the Medical Sociology Section of the American Sociological Association. In Susan Bell's 2022 Reeder Award address, she reflects on three key words and situate them in the context of medical sociology and social and political life more broadly from the 1970s to the present. She draws from her personal biography, connects her identity as a sociologist with feminism and activism, and concludes with five recommendations for medical sociology’s future.
